Applied Wing Chun Okinawa Owner/Instructor

I began training in martial arts at a very young age. I have traveled to many countries to train and compete in martial arts. Over a martial arts life that stretches more than 30 years I have accomplished many things which include:

-Qualified Instructor of Applied Wing Chun Kung Fu by SiFu Duncan Leung

-Qualified Instructor of ISB Meibukan Goju-Ryu Karate by Sensei Wade Chroninger

-Brown Belt in Tae Kwon Do

-Shodan (first Degree black belt) in Shorin Ryu Matsubayashi Ryu Karate

-Nidan (2nd Degree Black Belt) in Okinawan Meibukan Goju Ryu Karate in Okinawa, Japan

-1st degree Black Belt Instructor in the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program

-Shodan (1st Degree black belt) in Byakuren Kaikan Karate in Okinawa, Japan

-Trained extensively in Judo and  Boxing

-Trained and competed competitively in Kickboxing

-2005 Okinawa Gloved Karate Heavyweight champion

-2006 West Japan Gloved Karate Heavyweight Champion

I began learning Applied Wing Chun from SiFu Donald Presto in 2010 in Temecula, California.  Under his excellent instruction I have had the opportunity to grow substantially in the use of Applied Wing Chun and have had many opportunities to apply its principles outside of a training environment.  SiFu Don has trained me extensively in the knowledge and use of Applied Wing Chun’s principles, philosophies and applications.  I have assisted SiFu Don with instruction in the Applied Wing Chun San Diego School and took over training the members of the school when he moved overseas to Okinawa.  Upon my moving back to Okinawa, I assisted SiFu Don in the instruction of the Applied Wing Chun Okinawa school. Since SiFu Don’s departure back to the states, I have taken over instruction for the Applied Wing Chun Okinawa school. In September of 2016, I stayed in China for a month to train with SiFu Duncan Leung to have my technique reviewed and refined as an Applied Wing Chun instructor.
